Japanese Home Cooking classes from my little Tokyo kitchen.
I am back from the maternity leave! Booking for April classes with reduced number of seats has just started (tours are on going now)!
Welcome to my Japanese kitchen
日本のキッチンヘようこそ
This class is more than learning recipes. Japanese home cooking reflects everyday habits, values, and culture, and I share those layers openly throughout the experience. The class becomes richest when guests bring curiosity, questions, and conversation, because the atmosphere is something we create together. For that reason, it is especially enjoyable when everyone joining shares that same curiosity.
Together, we prepare simple and delicious Japanese homestylye dishes using practical techniques that you can easily recreate in your own kitchen after returning home. All in person classes are held in English and last about 3 hours.
Little kitchen, big 💛
In this Tokyo cooking class, I will teach you how Japanese people actually cook and eat in everyday life, in a little kitchen in the middle of Tokyo. Beyond recipes, you will learn Japanese ingredients, seasonings, table customs, and the everyday values behind them. The class is small, personal, and held in English, with plenty of room for curiosity and questions.
Awarded & praised
A Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice for each of the past 7 years, and chosen as one of the TOP 10 activities in all of Japan in 2018. Many expats and tourists have visited my kitchen and learned to cook Japanese with me. Please check their reviews on Tripadvisor.
Cook & eat as the locals do
Food in restaurants and what people eat at home are always very different. Eating what the locals make at home is an experience you will never have in restaurants. It is my intention to teach you what Japanese really eat at home, and to do so in a regular home setting.
